The Untold Stories

My day yesterday was consumed with driving.  I left Cody, Wyoming (the home of Buffalo Bill) and arrived last night in Rapid City, South Dakota.  It was almost as many miles as my drive from Seattle to Boise.  On both drives I traveled through mountain ranges.  Yesterday's was through Bighorn National Forest.  I hope the pictures below illustrate some of the roads and scenery I have experienced on these drives.

The drive felt eerily similar to the one I accomplished the day before... but in the dark!

I made some stops throughout my drive yesterday.  But for today's blog I want to share some sights I have seen "off the beaten path"......the untold stories if you will.  There are so many major things I have done everyday, that I have not always been able to share the little things I see and experience daily.  Today's blog will therefore be told through photographs.  Enjoy!

Perhaps I should have stayed here in Seattle.  I wonder if they have free Wi-Fi and a continental breakfast?

I found the laziest homeless person in America.  They simply left a cup requesting donations.  I wonder what more important things they had to do?

Did I mention I saw part of the Oregon Trail?

I should have stayed in Glenns Falls, Idaho.  Looks like this place has it all.  By the way the golf tees were marked with empty wine bottles.  It was just like the G.O.O.!

People in Idaho sure have an interesting way to dry their clothes!

This is an archway made of Elk antlers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  I inquired whether they ship these... could make a good Christmas gift!

The seat of this chair was almost as tall as me.  I would have needed a step ladder to sit in it.

There were so many small towns like this one that I traveled through.  If I blinked I would have missed the entire town!

A drive in bar?  What an excellent idea!

Send me your orders now!

Is Sadie allowed in?

Does that say Antelope butt?

Whoa!  The limestone is almost as old as Bob!

I hope these pictures have provided a small glimpse into the sights I have seen.  Everyday I try and take a side excursion to see what local life is like in these towns.  I cannot think of any better way to experience this part of the country!
